2021 was a year defined by many as the first-steps out of the global pandemic and the chaos of 2020, and while we’re all still adapting, certain cultural events returned to the stage this year, among them Miami Art Week 2021.

The yearly festival had been put on pause due to the pandemic, but this year opened its doors once more, ushering in artists, collectors, and curators from around the world to see some of the best of the best.

Our photographer, John Domine, diligently strolled up and down the avenues and alleys of Wynwood, searching for the standout murals of the year.

Describing the event, John said "Having traveled down to Miami last year for 'Art Basel That Wasn't,' this year was a much needed boost to the spirit, to feel the energy and love during this year's Miami Art Week. Although we didn't see as many international artists as year's past, the artists who painted definitely brought their A game. It was wonderful to see even a glimmer of a return to normalcy."
